IT'S OFFICIAL. I'M RUNNING FOR MAYOR!

It’s official: Today, I officially filed the paperwork to run for Mayor of Greenwood!

Greenwood isn’t just where we live—it’s our home, our community, and our shared future. I’m stepping forward because I believe in a Greenwood that listens to its residents, supports local businesses, strengthens our neighborhoods, and builds opportunities for the next generation.

This campaign isn't about one person—it's about all of us. Over the coming weeks and months, I look forward to earned conversations on front porches, at local businesses, and throughout every neighborhood in our city. I want to hear what matters most to you and share a vision for Greenwood that moves us forward together.

Starting today, the work begins—and I’d be honored to have you in my corner.

How you can support the campaign:

**Share this post to help spread the word!

**Follow this page for updates, upcoming event dates, and campaign news.

**Reach out with your thoughts, questions, and ideas for the future of Greenwood.

Let’s build a stronger Greenwood together.

Mayor's Race is Non-Partisan

Please remember, in November, whichever party you affiliate with, don't vote straight ticket. Your vote for mayor won't count. You have to make a selection for mayor, or you do not get a vote.

The mayoral race is non-partisan.

A Thought from James

If you want change, it takes change.

For what I believe is the first time in modern Greenwood history, voters have the opportunity to choose a mayoral candidate who isn't a lawyer, isn't part of the local political establishment, wasn't handpicked or recommended by the previous mayor, and isn't a career politician.

I'm just a regular blue-collar guy who has built businesses, solved problems, and loves this community. I believe good ideas don't belong to one group of people—they belong to everyone.

My campaign is about transparency, accountability, and practical solutions that work for all of Greenwood, not just a select few.

If you're ready for a fresh perspective and a mayor who will listen to every citizen, I'd be honored to earn your vote.

Get involved in your neighborhood.

James Long is looking for one person from each ward within the Greenwood city limits who wants to get involved and help make real progress.

We need people who know their neighborhoods, understand the concerns in their ward, and are willing to help identify problems and work toward solutions.

This is about bringing every part of Greenwood to the table and making sure every ward has a voice.

Interested in representing your ward? Send us a message.

What's ONE Thing About Greenwood You Would Change If You Could?

Greenwood isn't just where I live—it's home.

I'm not running for mayor because I think I'm better than anyone else. I'm running because I believe our city deserves someone who listens first, works hard, and isn't afraid to tackle tough problems.

I want safer neighborhoods, honest and transparent government, support for our local businesses, and more opportunities for our young people. Most of all, I want a city where people feel heard, respected, and proud to call Greenwood home.

Whether you plan to vote for me or not, I want to hear from you.

If you could change ONE thing about Greenwood tomorrow, what would it be?
